Hailing from Geneva, Future Faces emerged from the local DIY underground, fusing the post-punk energy of the 80s with the captivating coldness of modern cold wave. Their music deftly oscillates between ethereal sonic abysses and relentless industrial rhythms, capturing the essence of an era while reinventing it for a contemporary audience.

Since their debut in 2017, they have forged their own path with three personal albums and live performances of rare intensity. This multi-instrumentalist collective stands out for its bold, committed approach, challenging the rigid norms inherited from a productivist past. Their music embodies a hedonistic reaction to the austerity of the times, inviting us to dance and celebrate amidst the ruins of our times. Each note sounds like a cry of rebellion against monotony, each silence like a profound meditation on our shared history.

Their debut EP, ‘REVOLT’, released in 2017, marked Future Faces’ resounding entry onto the music scene. Through it, the band deftly wove subtle guitar melodies over a post-punk rhythm, enriched by influences of rigorous krautrock. This EP established their distinctive aesthetic, capturing both the urgency of revolt and emotional depth. Three years later, in 2020, Future Faces evolved with ‘EUPHORIA’, a new opus that took a turn towards a more synthetic sound. Introducing complex keyboard structures alongside hypnotic drums, the album explored more experimental sonic territory while retaining the evocative darkness that characterise their style.

Now, with their next album, ‘MEMORIA’, due out in late 2024, Future Faces promise to delve even deeper into the dark ambiences that define their musical identity. The album will place a particular emphasis on vocals, underlining an ongoing artistic evolution and a commitment to exploring new conceptual and sonic nuances. “MEMORIA” promises to be a major milestone in the creative evolution of Future Faces. Visually, Future Faces are careful with every aspect of their aesthetic, incorporating influences from contemporary art, romanticism, Dadaism and constructivism. Their covers, designed to stimulate reflection and introspection resonate with their musical and lyrical universe.
