Forsmán are an Icelandic black metal band formed in Kópavogur in 2019. Their music draws on the severity and atmosphere of Iceland’s contemporary black metal tradition while pursuing a direct, tightly controlled identity of its own.

The band introduced themselves with the 2021 EP Dönsum í logans ljóma. In June 2026 they followed it with their debut full-length, Brenndar Rústir & Fuðrandi Fjörur, released by Vesperian: eight songs built from dense riffing, shifting dynamics, forceful rhythms and an austere melodic undercurrent.

Forsmán balance cold, dissonant weight with focused songwriting and a strong sense of forward motion. The result is black metal that is extreme in expression without becoming formless, carrying the atmosphere of their Reykjavík-area roots into a precise and individual sound.
