Abdullah Miniawy is an Egyptian expressionist, writer, singer, composer and actor. He has performed with artists such as Erik Truffaz and Kamilya Jubran, and his work has been shown at the Louvre and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, as well as the Venice Biennale. Abdullah’s acting talent was showcased in “Tlamess”, which was shortlisted for the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival. As a composer, he has created soundtracks for various productions and exhibitions. His recent album “Le Cri Du Caire” won the LES VICTOIRES DU JAZZ 2023 award and his debut album with German band Carl Gari ranked 44th in the NPR’s best of 2016 charts Miniawy solo new work is part of shape + selection known for its inventive style and contemporary/classical approach. He brings the world into harmony and insists on creating a frequent world where everyone feels equal.
