Masayoshi Fujita

Booking Agent : Federico Zanatta

Masayoshi Fujita is a Japanese vibraphonist, marimba player and composer. Unconstrained by traditional styles, techniques, or compositional theories, he continuously explores new possibilities for his instruments and crafts new sonic landscapes that is unmistakably his own.

After 13 years in Berlin, he relocated to a new home and studio in the rural Japanese mountain village of Kami-cho, Hyogo, following his life-long dream of creating music in nature. In the quiet embrace of the mountains, where the cloud weaves through old trees and time seems to pause, Masayoshi finds his inspiration and continues his sonic explorations into the unknown, and shares these creations with the world.
Masayoshi also composed the score for Smoking Tigers, a film by award-winning American director So Young Shelly Yo.
His recent collaboration with German electronic musician Jan Jelinek has drawn significant attention from experimental music enthusiasts worldwide.
Masayoshi is an endorsed artist of a Japanese marimba and percussion manufacturer Korogi.
