Since 2016, Coscradh have carved their path through the underground with releases on Invictus Productions, and now move into a new era as they join 20 Buck Spin for their forthcoming album and future works, announced in January 2026. Emerging from Ireland’s bleak soil, the band perform an extreme strain of Black/Death Metal driven by Celtic history, ancient violence, and archaic spiritualism. Their lyrics interweave old Gaelic languages and English, channeling folklore, druidic mysticism, and the blood-soaked chronicles of Ireland’s past. This thematic depth manifests not only in their chaotic assault but also in atmospheric passages steeped in ambient ritual and harsh noise.
Their second album, Carving the Causeway to the Otherworld, digs deep into ancestral memory—an invocation of ancient mysticism and long-buried paths raised by warring tribes. Coscradh resurrected the six-thousand-year-old oaken causeways built across Ireland’s boglands, reawakening dread sorcery and the violence etched into sacred ground. Channeling the druid as astronomer, war-seer, and keeper of forbidden knowledge, the album invokes the red light of Mars—a god demanding sacrifice—and reveals Gaelic warriors offering themselves as vessels to the fury of Goac.
Musically, Coscradh summoned riffs corroded with ancestral power, guitars igniting like meteors slashing across the horizon. Percussion strikes with the thunder of hooves on dead earth, erupting into a war-cry hurled into the heavens. The band fully inhabits this liminal space between spirit and flesh, battle and ritual, cosmic omen and ancient soil. Their work becomes a communion of druidic science and blood, linguistic resurrection and ritual aggression, binding together forgotten causeways, war gods, stone idols, and sky-born forces.
Carving the Causeway to the Otherworld stands as a celestial execution—a cold, cruel radiance cast upon all who hear it. Through this album, Coscradh affirm themselves as torchbearers of Ireland’s wrathful spirits and mythic ferocity, shaping Black/Death Metal into a vessel of ancestral memory and cosmic violence.
