Autobahns is the solo project of Swiss-Italian musician Giuliano Iannarella, currently based in Leipzig, Germany. Iannarella self-produced Autobahns’ debut album, First LP!, over a span of two years, working between Lugano, Switzerland, and Leipzig. The album, released in June 2024, features a dynamic blend of “extraterrestrial egg punk and chain punk,” offering listeners a fresh and varied experience within the genre.

The project has garnered attention for its unique sound, described as “fast, intense, and more varied than your average egg punk offering.” Notably, the track “Loss Of The Rights” stands out with its “1982 coming of age” hook in the chorus, exemplifying the project’s distinctive style.

Autobahns’ music has been released through a collaboration of labels, including Feral Kid Records (US), Legless Records (Australia), Phantom Records (Germany), and Magüt Records (Europe).

The project’s discography also includes the Autobahns / S.G.A.T.V Split, released in February 2023, further establishing its presence in the punk and experimental music scenes.

Based in Leipzig—a city renowned for its rich cultural and musical heritage—Iannarella continues to push creative boundaries with Autobahns, contributing to the city’s vibrant music scene.
