Tithe is a Portland, Oregon-based act that draws influence from many dimensions of dark, extreme music and themes to manifest their distinctive hypnotic, grinding death metal. The band consists of Matt Eiseman (guitar/vocals), Alex Huddleston (bass/vocals), and Kevin Swartz (drums). Blending dissonant death metal with crushing heaviness and chaotic atmosphere, Tithe has steadily built a reputation as a formidable force in the metal underground.

Since their inception, Tithe has released a self-titled EP (2017) as well as full-lengths Penance (2020) and Inverse Rapture (2023), leading to their most recent album Communion in Anguish, released via Profound Lore Records in September 2025. The record marks the addition of Alex Huddleston on vocals, creating a duality between Huddleston’s cavernous, commanding delivery and Eiseman’s more caustic, piercing approach. This confrontational vocal interplay layered over punishing riffs and driving drums pushes the band’s sound to new extremes.

Tithe has embarked on multiple regional US tours over the past years and has appeared at prominent festivals including Northwest Terror Fest, Disemboweled God Fest, and Rain City Doom Fest. Upcoming appearances include Maryland Deathfest, a Modified Ghost presented showcase with Spectral Wound, and Concatenate Fest.
