Sixth June was formed in 2007 by visual artist Laslo Antal and actress Lidija Andonov. After a period of working and living in Belgrade, the band relocated to Berlin in 2010, releasing 7 albums for some of the finest alternative music labels in Europe, among them are Mannequin Records, aufnahme+wiedergabe, The State 51 Conspiracy and Cleopatra Records. Lately they’ve been also released their music through Sweet Sensation, a label that they founded in 2020 with composer Andy Pavlov. Their latest album “Stay!” has been released with Young & Cold Records in Autumn 2024, as well as the new EP in June 2025.

Throughout the years Sixth June played at various festivals such as Exit Festival, Wave Gothic Treffen, Ombra festival, toured around Europe, Latin and South America.

Beside the music, in focus are the visual aspects of the band. The videos, sets, design, and photography are all made by the band members, giving a personal touch to their distinctive sound. Music videos and live projections are an essential part of the performance of Sixth June. Having two people in the band who are closely connected to film, theatre and video art makes not only the music, but the whole image of Sixth June recognisable. Berliner Zeitung characterises their music as “sweet, cool, dark electropop”, while Vice refers to Sixth June’s music as “music for dreaming and the new beginnings”.
