Ange Madame identifies as an experience that disrupts, creating pleasure and toil in her art. In her delusion she creates unmasking illusions of honesty in her work whereby she uses gender sexuality identity as a playground for mocking what oppresses her and performing what empowers her. Ange can be a duality of reality and fantasy and she lives by the philosophy of everything is living colour and that life is a gift you were given to shine.

It seems even throughout her battle with mental health Ange continues to defy the logic of prescribed notions of western conventional medicine and prescribed to those of her ancestors, which is her mind creates the portal on her terms and so in that statement she honours life and gives way to her angels and demons to shine.

She looks after her mother in her time on Earth and is a home body, so much so she is always hosting fabulous dinner parties with celebrities and her fellow community in the heart of Cape Town.
She creates worlds with limited funding and does it so well with her storytelling. She believes that people can overcome anything with the power of the mind and as a mental health advocate she says it’s all about one’s personal journey creating a life that they’ll enjoy, sometimes impulsiveness is key but in good faith with good habits.

She loves listening to Janet Jackson on weekdays while running errands and NTS radio during the day while at home. The creativity never stops.
She loves dance workouts and green juice freshly made in her home and sometimes with fruits from her friends garden. She has performed at numerous events across Europe and having travelled to 4 continents to share her work, Ange is also a fantastic opening act and headliner having opened for M.I.A in 2018 and played Festivals such as MELT, Donaufestival, and Unsound.
She sometimes takes a shot before performing on stage but mostly performs sober, and drugs aren’t her thing and I quote, “Oxygen is the only drug I like.”
