Draugveil is a solo atmospheric black metal project based in Prague, Czech Republic, created and led by Ukrainian-born musician Yevhen Konovalov. Blending raw, melancholic riffing with ambient soundscapes and emotive vocals, the project draws inspiration from classic 1990s Second Wave black metal as well as modern atmospheric and raw black metal acts. Draugveil quickly gained attention across the underground metal community in 2025 following the release of his debut full-length album, Cruel World of Dreams and Fears, propelled in part by viral discussions surrounding its distinctive cover art and standout tracks like “Knight Without a Name” and “Moonlit Resurrection”. The project further cemented its presence within the physical tape and vinyl scene through subsequent releases, including the split project Blades & Roses alongside black metal artist Selvnatt.
